About

True learning occurs with real life experiences.  We grow through struggle, we flourish with love and support, and we learn our true potential when we are put to the test.

My training and readiness for this career began very young.  I suffered from both depression and acid reflux at the age of 12.  At this age, and up until the age of 17, I ate terribly, did not sleep well, and never really felt happy.

I was a fast food junkie, soda addict, on a constant sugar high or low, snacking constantly, and extremely sedentary.  I woke up every morning with pain in my throat and chest, had chronic sinusitis, and was taking both antidepressants and reflux medication.  At some point in my late years of high school, I had a revelation that today seems so simple, but changed my life forever.

"What if my habits are connected to my weight, my sadness, my stomach troubles?"

I made two changes: played basketball instead of video games, and drank water in place of soda.  Honestly, I changed nothing else about my habits, but something monumental had occurred.

I had awoken an awareness of my body, and thus my awareness of my health and wellbeing.

I dropped 15 pounds in about 3 months, felt more energetic, and was sleeping better.  My mood was indescribably improved, it was like a cloud had lifted.

This was the beginning of my path towards where I stand today.  At 29, I have never been healthier, happier, and more at peace with my life.

The first step was the only step...

I am so grateful for that inclination to change.  Though it seemed small in the grand scheme, making those two small changes led me on a roller coaster ride of trial and error towards health and happiness.

During this time I have been a raw foodist, vegetarian, vegan, etc.  I ran the gammit of dietary possibilities, and today have found the diet that best works for me.

The proof is in the digestive wellness, I have had no digestive difficulties for 6 years.

This is my real life experience that gave me the skills to help others.

The drive, the tools, and the motivation to do this work, however, came from my time at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.  I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
